HIGH PAY-OUT

Because it is not only one of the smaller companies, but a most compact and efficiently run one at that, the Bruntwood Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., has, for long enough, been recognised as one of the soundest in South Auckland. Again this season Bruntwood is high up in pay-out, its actual figure being 20.128 d, and on top of this must be added the farm cost allowance of .767 d per lb. butterfat. The previous season ‘average pay-out was 19.272 d, though actual results revealed a pay-out of 19.218(1. The farm cost allowance is allowed on 590,220 lbs. butterfat. Deferred Payment.

On Friday next the company will distribute a deferred payment on the surprisingly large basis of 33d. lb. butterfat. The directors report having decided to conform to the ruling Government price as a basis of valuation of dairy produce unsold at balance date, due allowance having been made for premiums and deductions. The Board recommends the deferred distribution as mentioned in the foregoing. The butterfat handled by the company was 599,0901h5. which was manufactured into G 99 tons and 8 cwts. of cheese . “It is pleasing to note the usual high standard of grading that has obtained during the year,” states the report.. “It has been revealed that the average grade for the total exportable produce has yielded finest quality. The manager and his stall’ are to be commended and the suppliers have contributed their part by providing the new material of an excellent standard.” The report concludes by extending thanks to the staff, the company secretary and the farm dairy instructor.
