CAMBRIDGE SALE - COMPETITION KEEN Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their tri-weekly safie at Cambridge on Monday, May 18, when a good yarding of both sheep and cattle came forward, and heavy entries of fat and store pigs were penned. Competition for sheep and cattle was keen, asd practically a total clearance resulted at firm values. The demand for the enlry of fat pigs, comprising mostly light pork, was steady; but for an oversupply of store and weaner pigs there was a dull sale. They quote:

Medium fat lambs, up to £1 5/-; forward condition store lambs, 16/6 to 17/6;; other store lambs', TO/- to 12/6;w/face ewe lambs, to £1; aged ewes, r.w. ram, 8/- to 9/-. Cattle.—Fat P.A. cows and heifers, £7 15/- to £8 10/-; other fat cows and heifers, £5 5/- to £6 12/6; heavy boners, £4 1/- to £5; medium boners, £3 5/- to £3 18/-; light boners, £2 10/- to £3; a pen of eighteen-month S.H. steers, to £6 2/-: medium weaner Jersey calves, to £2 15/-; top Jersey heifers, r.w. bull, £7 to £8 10/-. ,

Medium baconers, to £3 11/-; heavy porkers, £2 9/- to £2 18/-; medium porkers, £1 13/- to £2 3/-; light porkers, £1 8/- to £1 12/-; unfinished porkers, £1 1/- to £1 5/-; good stores, 14/- to 17/-; others, 9/to 11/-; slips, 4/- to G/-; weaners, 1/- to 2/-.
