XIII. BRUCE, Thomas. Thomas Bruce was born, in Ayrshire -about. 1830 and arrived in New Zealand in the “Alexandria” in 1871 with his wife 'and Tiis cousin, the Rev. Thomas Bruce. The two families settled at TaotaOroa. Mr and Mrs Bruce’s family included Mrs Charles Bailey of Manurewa, Mrs Mary Williams of Ohura, and Mr David Bnice of Ohura. Mr Bruce died nearly forty years ago, aged about 70. ~ ‘ '
