FLANNEL RIBBONS

TE AWAMUTU SHOW TO BE USED TODAY The Te Awamutu A., P. and H. Association uses something like 150 yards of ribbon for decorating winning animals at the annual show, but for the exhibition today it is probable that an innovation will be necessary. Extensive inquiry _ reveals that ribbon, of the width and quality usually used is now not obtainable the import restrictions are blamed —and at the meeting of the executive on Saturday evening it was suggested that Te Awamutu should follow the lead of a prominent Taranaki A. and P. Association by having championship ribands made from flannel. One such was displayed at the meeting, and it certainly was attractive. Made of strips of red, white and blue flannel together, with a fringe at each end, and neatly printed, it should please any owner of a champion.
