MR W. R. GARRARD APPOINTED At last night's meeting of the Cambridge School Committee, the resignation, under doctor's orders, was accepted with regret of the chairman, the Rev. C. W. Chandler. Members spoke in appreciation of the service given to education in the district by the Vicar, and it was hoped that his health would improve enough to enable him to renew his activities with the committee in the future. Mr W. R. Garrard, who has been acting-chairman of the committee was elected chairman. The matter of filling the vacancy caused by the Vicar's retirement was held over until the next meeting.
