IMPERIAL VETERANS
THE RESERVE BRIGADE ROLL OF .VOLUNTEERS _____ / To further the defence of New Zealand/the Imperial Veterans' Reserve Brigade is enrolling former officers arid other ranks on a register of volunteers. An appeal has been launched by Captain G. Humphreys - Davies, of Auckland, and Mr T. H. Haihpshire has been appointed Cambridge representative.
The organisation is purely voluntary and free of any financial obligation. All Imperial veterans are classified, to find out if "they are specialists in any sphere of arms, or what distinctive position they had in any arm of the service. If fit, they are given three crosses on their form, and less according to physical fitness. Men that are fit for light duties only, are marked i"H.Q.," none being refused.
All Imperial ex-soldiers in, bridge willing to enrol are. asked to communicate with Mr- Hamp-. shire. The details that are required are: Namei and retiring, rank, age, physical disabilities, service, unit, period, service qualifications, special qualifications, >■■. present employment, address and- telephone number,: neighbours' telephone number, and uniform. In-the.spec-ial qualifications ..column information regarding knowledge of languages and de-coding is requested.
