NORTH AUCKLAND PARTY VISIT TO CAMBRIDGE The North Auckland touring bowlers visited Cambridge on Tuesday afternoon and on the Cambridge Club’s green met teams from the Cambridge, Te Awainutu, Olorohange and Leamington Clubs. The visitors were accorded a hearty welcome by Mr F. L. Tucker, vicepresident of the Cambridge Club. J Mr Nesbit replied on behalf of the visitors. During the afternoon tea adjournment the tourists presented Mr and Mrs P. H. Rowe with a piece of glassware in appreciation of the hospitality and services given the party during their visit to the South Auckland Centre, of which Mr Rowe is president. Results were as follows: Te Awamutu—Wylie, Worthington, W. J. North and Henderson 22 v. North Auckland —Cypran, White, Hill and Hogg 15. North Auckland —Druitt, J. Allen, Williams and Staples 20 v. Cambridge—J. Hooker, E. J. Easter, M. Butler arid J. Low 18. Olorolianga—Richmond, Jackson, Sing and Pilkington 24 v. North Auckland—W. Smith, Seccombe, Scott and Whitehead 10. Cambridge—H. Speight, F. L. Tucker, C. H. Cooper and E. C. Wallis 22 v. North Auckland —Cleverly, Masters, Rowe and Nesbit 21. Leamington—J. A. Wallace, R. Kirkby, J. W. Garland and V. G. Boulton 25 v. North Auckland Matuska, G. Smith, Fenwick and McDermott 1.2.
CLAUDELANDS VISIT
ARRANGEMENTS FOR SATURDAY
Sixteen teams are required from the Cambridge Bowling Club to play in an inter-club fixture against Claudelands on Saturday. As this represents practically the full playing strength ot the club all membcis arc asked to make a special effort to attend. Players '* ho have not already signified their intention to play are asked to place their names or the board at the clubhouse, or to notify the secretary or match committee before tomorrow evening. Players are lequested to bring a basket.
