Autumn Horse Fair.—Over 350 horses of all classes will be sold at the annual autumn horse fair, to be held at the Cambridge saleyards on Wednesday and Thursday of next week. Tar-Sealing Work.—A tar-sealed road all the way from Morrinsville to Hamilton will be an accomplished fact at the end of this year. The contract has been let for the final section of four miles between Eureka and the Piako boundary near Motumaoho. Putaruru Dog Trials.—The Puta-ruru-Tirau Sheep Dog Trial Club held its first annual two-day meeting this week, when an excellent standard was maintained. The judge was Mr E. G. Broad, of Hillcrest. Mr D. W. Ariell, of Cambridge, secured third in the long head, open, with his dog Tike.
