CAMERON CUP MATCH CAMBRIDGE AND MATAMATA DRAW Spectators at the polo ground oil Saturday were not provided with an exciting match when Matamata Cambridge for the Cameron Cup, but interest was maintained by the evenness of the teams. The result Was a draw, 3-all, and thus Cambridge retained the trophy. The teams were: Cambridge: P?. { Peake, L. Kay, K. Peake and N. Garland.. Matamata: J, Elliot, E, Johnston, N. Johnston, C. Morgan. The hitting was not good on either side, but the Matamata players who appeared to be better mounted than Cambridge, gained advantages with good riding off. N. Johnston gave the best exhibition of polo on the day. ' ' At half-time Cambridge led 3—2, and the only goal scored in the three concluding chukkas resulted in Matamata equalising. For Cambridge R. Peake, K. Peake and N. Garland each scored goals, while N. Johnston (2) andfc. Morgan scored for Matamata; ' ‘ T. " . Messrs C. Meredith' and C. G. Vesper refereed. "
