VACANCY ON BOARD
NO ELECTION/AT LEAMINGTON
MR J. BLACKMAN APPOINTED
Although two nominations were received to fill the vacancy on the Leamington Town Board, caused recently by the resignation of Mr SL G. Carter, no election will be necessary, for one of the candidates has |withdrawn.
Mr John Blackmail and Mr George Sydney Hastie were nominated as' candidates, but the returning officer* Mr R. S. Hanna, has received notification that Mr Hastie has withdrawn his nomination. Mr Black-* 5 " man has therefore been appointed tothe board, until the end of the present session.
The new member has had experience in Leamington affairs previously, being a member of the Town Board on several occasions during past years.
