DAIRY CATTLE IN DEMAND
Dairy cattle met with an eager demand at the Cambridge stock sale yesterday, when there was a lull yarding of all classes of cattle. Values were well up to ruling Frankton rales.
A full yarding of pigs also sold well and changed hands at satisfactory prices. No sheep were auctioned. The auctioneers, the New Zea-
land Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Ltd. quote as follows: Cattle: Heavy fat cows £4.5/- to £5; medium fat cows £3 10/- to £4; light cows 33/- to £2 5/-; boners 25/to £1 10/-; bulls to £1; dairy cows in milk £(i to £8; later calvers £3 10/- to £5lO/-; spring heifers, early calvers, £4 10/- to £G 10/-; backward sorts to £3 10/-.
Pigs: Light baconers to £2 12/-; light prkcrs £1 15/- to £1 18/-; large stores £1 to £1 5/-; slips 14/- to 18/-; weaners 2/0 to 10/-; sows and litters to £3 10/-.
