LATE MR H. ALAN BELL
HOSPITAL BOARD TRIBUTES
Referring to the late Mr H. Alan Bell, Mr J. J. Ryburn, chairman of the Waikato Hospital Board, said at the monthly meeting, "he was a very generous and kind-hearted man, who took a great interest in matters concerning the poor, sick and injured, and he always showed his syinpajthy in a practical form." , f . ~ji,.,. .
A warm tribute to the wo^k ( pf the late Mr Bell was paid, by ijjr Ryburn, who said deceased represented the Cambridge, Morrinsville and Te Aroha boroughs on the Hospital Board at the time of his death. He had always a helping hand for those in need, and many a wayfarer found shelter under his roof. The late Mr Bell keenly appreciated the services rendered by the hospital nurses, and always contended that they were underpaid. When the board decided recently to restore wages and salaries cuts he said he was delighted at this step. Similar sentiments were expressed by Mr T. Hinton, and a resolution was carried expressing the board's sympathy with the relatives of deceased, and placing on record appreciation of his services.
A motion of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr Bell was passed at the meeting of the executive of the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association on Friday. Tribute from Hunt
At the annual meeting of the Waikato Hunt last Friday evening, feeling reference,was made to the passing of Mr Henry Alan Bell, those present paying a silent tribute to his memory. Mr Bell had been associated with hunting over a long period of years. St. John Ambulance
A motion of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr Bell was passed at the annual meeting of the Cambridge Branch of the St. John Ambulance Association, last evening. Those present stood in silent respect for a moment.
