BUTTER MARKET
NEW ZEALAND 95/-
PRICES REMAIN STEADY The London market for New Zealand butter closed last week at 95/per cwt., unchanged. Prices for cheese were a shade easier at 52/6 to 53/- per cwt for white, and 57/- for coloured. Both markets are very quiet. Prices for New Zealand butter have been fairly steady during the past two weeks, but Danish prices have increased from 116/- to 128/-. The retail price of Danish has advanced from 1/2 to 1/3 per lb, New Zealand being unchanged at 1/-.
