PROGRESS OF ARRANGEMENTS . MEETING OF COMMITTEE Satisfactory progress is being made with the arrangements for the Waikato Central Agricultural Association's 33rd annual show on March 4 and 5. At a meeting of the committee yesterday afternoon Mr J. S. Fisher presided and also present were: Messrs Geo. Harris, A. E. Peppercorn, C. H. Cooper, C. E. Jeans, G. Whewell, W. A. Fisher, G. M. Watt, R. J. Neely, A. Brown, H. P. Hewitt, J. W. Pentelow, Captain I). Dillon, and Edgar James (ecretary). Apologies were received from Messrs W. C. Wllace, H. Crowther, G. Lamhie and J. T. Entwisle.

Messrs K. Peakc and R. Nolan were appointed as stewards in the light horse section. Messrs G. Douglas (Maungatautari) and W. Kerr (Pukcrimu) were elected members of the association.

' The Royal Agricultural Association wrote requesting the association to submit dates suitable for next year's show. It was pointed out that dates could not be fixed until a conference of the Waikato Group had been held. The Waikato Central Agricultural Association is making endeavours to hold the show on Friday and Saturday next year, and a committee has t»ee,n appointed to go into the matter o? dates. The secretary reported that a handsome cup had been received from Mr A. Sands, for the champion hack. It was decided that the cup must be won three years in succession or four years at intervals to be retained.

Mr R. Coulter, Member for Waika*o, wrote stating that he would have pleasure in attending the show if his Parliamentary duties made it possible. The meeting decided to include a special class in the sheep section for two-tooth Southdown Ram (stud), with no restriction as to length of ownership. It was stated that a number of fine rams had recently been purchased by farmers in the district and should be in excellent condition and a good attraction at the show. It will be necessary for exhibitors to prove ownership if required. : A donation of £5 was received from the Cambridge Trotting Club which was received with thanks. .SEke money will be allotted to .the prfces for the "trotting events. Kennel Club's Parade '" A recognised feature of the second ".day of 4he show is the dog parade conducted by the Cambridge Kennel Club. There are classes for all ' breeds of clogs and apart from the usual awards, fourteen ribbons are provided as special awards. Entries will be received by Mr J. Kid'd, Duke Street, or Mr Edgar fjames.
