TREES AND, POWER LINES MEETING OF THE BOARD At a meeting of the Leamington Domain Board last evening, a report was received from the Public Works Department that overhanging trees in Lamb Street were a menace to the high tension lines in the area. It was decided to have the trees pruned at the correct time. Mr Hounslow complained that many beautiful trees on the Domain boundary had been ruthlessly cut down. Members were agreed that permission had not been granted recently for the work, and the matter will he. further investigated. Damage at Dance The youths responsible for destruction of the board’s property at, a recent dance have failed to account for the damage. No action will be taken as members decided that there was not sudicient evidence. Permission was granted to tke Leamington Sunday School to hold their annual picnic in the Domain next Saturday. Accounts totalling £ll were passed for payment.
