GOLF AT TAURANGA
NEW COURSE PROPOSED (By Telegraph—Press Association) TAURANGA, Friday. A petition bearing 142 signatures has been presented to the Borough Council asking that the borough reserve between Cliff Eoad and the railway line on an elevated position northward of Monmouth Redoubt be made available for and laid out as a golf course. The petitioners consider that such a course would add in a material degree to the attractions of the town. The council has referred the petition to its endowments committee.
