Tod, presided over a fair attendance of members. I:> opening the meeting the president said that the club was now in a sound financial position, and was starting the new season with no bade debts. The Annual Report. ■“ln reviewing the year 1931, one cannot but be struck with the general improvement, both in the improved condition of the links and the healthier state of the club’s finances, 1 ” said the annual'report of the committee. “We have been very foitunafte in retaining the services' of ‘Mr W. We trust, that this healthy sign will continue year by year as there is plenty of room for many additional players. “The improvement in the links was reflected in the general all round improvement in the. players. This was seen when lumbers of our club performed very creditably in open competitions and tournaments during the year. “To the players who won the various championships Men’s Senior Championship, R. L. Ingham; Men’s Junior Championship, K. Hannah; Ladies’ Senior Championship, Mrs M. ’Willis, and Ladies’ Junior Championship, Mrs .T. Banks —we offer our heartiest congratulations on winning the major honours of the club, and also eongiatu late them on the high standard of ploy shown in the finals of these competitions. “It: is pleasing to report that Ihe club has retained its membership of the previous year, there being 50 men, 62 ladies and 32 country and junior ■.members' —a total membership of 144. It is hoped-that these numbers -will be increased during the coining year. -“During the past season our revenue was substantially increased by an open tournament and a golf ball,” continued the report. “The bail vyhich.was the first of its kind held for,many yearsfva« a great success and reflected great credit on the enthusiastic: baud of helpers -who -put in such hard; work.. . “The one-day tournament was play--'ed during the latter part of the season r.nd proved to be a very popular fixture. There were about GO entrants and the many visiting flavors were delighted with the state of the course.” The committee’s report concluded by thanking all members for their'loyalty and support during'the past year. Election of Officers The election of officers resulted: President, Mr George Calvert; vicepresident, Mr W. E. 'Garrard; dub captain. Dr 11. C. Tod: committee, Messrs R. Ireland, A. H. Nicoll, W. Cubis. A. !, :nv . W. .T. Ward and F. Entwisle; secretary and treasurer, Mr C. L. Haworth; auditor. Mr A. N. AVVillis; green superintendent, Mr A. H. Nicoll; match committee, Messrs A. IT. Nicoll, W. .T. Ward and C. IV Haworth. Ladies: Club captain, Mr.y V. H. Nolan; secretary. Miss G. Braun: committee, Mesdames A. J. Law,. A. H. Ni'u.'ll, H. C. Tod, W. R. Garrard, A. N. Mackv and E. Monaco.

Ti:o following were proposed as members: Messrs T. Hampshire; A\ 7 '. •Ifiitlierfori'3 (country). D. L:uv (junior), Mrs and Miss Brembler. Before the meeting closed, Mr A. H. TSTieoil paid a tribute to the ’ retiring president and expressed the eliib’s appreciation of Dr Tod’s, work for the club during his term of office. Mr G.
