DROWNED IN RIVER
PATALITY AT THAMES (By Telegraph—Press Association) THAMES, To-day. Jack Heasman. the youngest son of Mr-A. J. Heasman, farmer, of Tarua, was drowned in the Waihou Eiver yesterday afternoon. In company with his eldev brother he was swimming across the river when, it is thought, he was attacked by cramp in the stomach. His brother noticed him in difficulties, and went to his assistance, but was unable to help the younger boy who disappeared. His body has not yet been recovered. Dragging the river will be resumed at low tide to-day.
