EXCELLENT CONCERT PLANNED ARTISTS PROM ALL PARTS OF PROVINCE In to-day's issue is the preliminary announcement of a concert extraordinary to be presented by past and present competitors of the Cambridge annual music, elocution and dancing festival. These talented people tram-, different parts of the province are preparing special items,' and the result of their efforts must mean an evening's entertainment which "will be quite out-
standing. This concert will give the public an opportunity of hearing such wonderful little, performers as Beverley Bateman, and Leonard Gilbert, and numerous other favourites that have charmed audiences during previous years. The character, duo and solo dancing which is so pleasing will also be well in evidence on the programme. The full programme will be published at a later date, and will include several popular local artists.
The object of "the effort is to help the Cambridge Competitions Society to make up some of the loss <on the recent festival. The function should commend itself to the public, for it affords an opportunity not only to enjoy a fine concert, but also to help in an easy • manner the finances of tho society. ■].■■■
