CAMBRIDGE SUB-ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING TO-NIGHT There appears to be more than usual enthusiasm in the approach of “the cricket season this year, and the annual meeting of the Cambridge Sub-Asso-ciation to-night should be well attended. It was only last year that the subassociation was formed, and a competition run with four teams —City, Leamington, United Services and High School, —the winners being City, after an interesting series of matches. through a reduction in freights. Resolution Passed On the motion of Mr Peppercorn and Mr J. W. Garland, a resolution was unanimously passed agreeing to support the proposals. Mr Macky thanked the meeting for the support and vote of approval to the scheme. He thought a good barpain had been made with the Highways Board. He impressed on those present the importance of recording their vote on the 26th. There wore one or two objectors, said Mr Macky, who believed in derating and were going to vote against the loan on principle. Mr Fisher moved a vote of thanks to the chairman, Mr Macky replying that it had been a pleasure to meet the ratepayers. Other Meetings in District A smilar meeting was held at the Eoto-o-rangi factory yesterday morning and at Kaipaki in tho afternoon. Unanimous approval of the proposals was forthcoming at each meeting.
