REFRESHER COURSES FOR TEACHERS ANNUAL STEEPLECHASE .. On Monday and Tuesday next, both departments of the Cambridge District/ High School will be closed to enable the staff to attend refresher courses to bo hold in the Primary School. Teachers from outside schools will also attend and thirty teachers in all are expected. Lectures will be given on handwork, and junior school method by Miss Kennedy, and in physical instruction by Miss Blackburn, both of the Auckland Training College staff. School Steeplechase The annual steeplechase will take plaee on Wednesday afternoon, September 26, starting from the secondary department grounds. An invitation to be present is extended to all interested, and given good weather an interesting contest should bo witnessed.
