' "THE ROSE MAIDEN” '•' • ( j. r -DELIGHTFUL CANTATA F. H. Cowan’s well-known cantata, "The Rose Maiden,” will be rendered by tho Hamilton Philharmonic Choir in the' Parish Hall on Tuesday evening. The choir consists of 40 voices and is conducted by Mrs H. C. Ross, with Mr H. S. James as accompanist. Outstanding soloists will be Miss Myrna Booth (soprano), Mrs lan Stuart , (contralto), Mr J. Battersby (tenor j,' and Mr Geo. Wheeler (baritone). Instrumental items will be provided during the evening. The beautiful melodies of The Rose Maiden” are familiar to many in Cambridge, since it was performed by the local Choral Society a few years
