ANNIVERSARY DAY
NINETY-FOURTH CELEBRATION i I ATTRACTIONS ON MONDAY | The 94th anniversary of the foundation of the Auckland Province will be celebrated on Monday and here in i Cambridge, it will (weather permitI ting) be spent by the people mostly out of doors. I Cambridge attractions will include a one-day bowling tournament at the Cambridge Club’s greens, and a representative cricket match at Victoria Square between a visiting Ponsonby team and the Cambridge first eleven. The tennis courts and croquet lawns will attract many enthusiasts, while a Cambridge representative tennis team will journey to Te Aroha. Cambridge Bowling teams will attend tournaments at Frankton Junction and Morrinsville. Many residents intend spending the holiday outside the district at Waihi beach, The Mount, Tauranga, and other resorts, while a number of racing enthusiasts will attend the Takapuna Jockey Club meeting. Others, no doubt, will be visiting Hamilton for the annual regatta.
