TROTTING PERMITS

“WAIKATO CLUB BADLY TREATED;” At the annual meeting of members ol' the Waikato Trotting Club this week, Mr A. E. Manning, who presided, said that the Waikato Trotting Club had been very badly treated in respect of extra trotting permits. . He did not think that any other trotting club possessed a better course, better facilities, or was better managed, and he considered that the Waikato Club should receive early consideration for extra permits. In addition to the sport being very popular in the district, owners of trotting horses received a fair test on the splendid course, and he hoped that the trotting authorities would realise the value of the Waikato Club when considering further extra permits.
