MAORI’S ARREST
CHARGE OF STEALING MONEY FROM HOUSE. REMANDED UNTIL THURSDAY.
At a short sitting of the Cambridge Police Court yesterday morning, before Mr H. Alan Bell, J.P., John Martin, alias Kautu Irakau, was charged with entering the dwelling of Edward Allen, of Maungatautari, and stealing the sum of £2. Resident at the Maungatautari Pa, the accused was arrested there on Saturday night by the local police. He was remanded until Thursday.
