Competitions and Concert. Attention is drawn by advertisement to-day to Competitions and Concert to be held in the Peace Memorial Hall on Thursday evening. The first portion of the programme will take the form of children’s competitions to be judged by popular vote. Excellent entries have been received for recitation under 8 years, song, with accompaniment, under 16, and vocal duet, under 16. In tbe second half, the programme will be provided by Mrs Eeg. Muir’s concert party and orchestra and the Cambridge quartette (Messrs T. H. Boyce, W. Lane, G. James and J. Haworth).
