CALCUTTA, Yesterday.

Burma will be separated from India as from April Ist, 1934, if the Burmese people decide at the forthcoming elections on a separation issue. They do uot want their country to join the Indian Federation. This announcement was made to-day at the Burma Council by the Governor, Sir Charles Innes, who urged that the election be held in the autumn of this year.
