RISE IN WOOL PRICES
ADVANCES OF 2D. TO 3D. SALE HELD AT CHRISTCHURCH. By Telegraph —Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. The prices realised at the Christchurch wool sale to-day showed an advance of 2d to 3d per lb on those of the January sale. The catalogue comprised 13,121 bales, mostly back-coun-try clips. The quality was below the average of catalogues at this period of the year. Bidding throughout the sale was keen and often excited, and practically the whole catalogue was cleared. Japan was a keen buyer for all serviceable fine wools, and Bradford bought extensively. France also was in the market.
