ANOTHER "LEANING TOWER."
. The 236 ft. high tower of the Church Our Dear Lady, the second oldest church in Bremen, Germany, dating from the 13th century, is being braced inside with a steel frame. About 180 years ago the tower began to incline, and is now more than eight inches out of its perpendicular. It is being stayed as it is, so that its characteristic silhouette is preserved.
