BUTTER MARKET BETTER, Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London principals, Messrs Samuel Page and Son, dated 3rd instant: — Butter: The market is rather better. New Zealand finest salted, 100/- to 106/-; Danish butter, 128/- to 130/-; Australian finest unsaltcd, 108/- to 112/-; Australian finest salted, 98/- to 102/-; Australian G.A.Q., 92/- to 96/-. Cheese: The market is slow. New Zealand white, 59/- to 61/-; coloured, 57/- to 59/-; Canadian white, 72/- to 78/-; coloured, 72/- to 78/-. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., Hamilton, have received the following cablegram from their London house under date of 3rd instant (last, week's quotations in parentheses): — Butter: New Zealand choicest salted, 105/- to 106/- per cwt (104/- to 106/-). Market firm. Cheese: White, 60/- to 61/- per cwt (65/-); coloured, 57/- to 58/- per cwt. (,69/-). Market very slow.
