TE AWAMUTTT SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., Hamilton, report having hold their To Awamutu stock sale on the 4th instant. Cattle: There was yarded an average entry of light ox beef, while cow 'beef came forward in heavy numbers. All classes of fat cattle met with brisk competition, resulting in a good increase on late rates. Stores were penned in average number with late rates maintained. Yearling heifers met with a poor demand, while a line of 20 2-year-old steers Avcro sold at £5- We quote: Light and unfinished ox beef £7 17/6 to £8 10/-; prime fat cows £3 1:1/0 to £9 5/-; fat cows £7 10/- to £8 7/0J lighter quality £6 7/6 to £7 2/6; store cows £5 6/- to £5 19/-; boner cows i.2 .14/- to £3 7/6; good quality IS -months steers £5. N Sheep: A small yarding of hoggets only were sold at good prices. We quote: Fat hoggets 18/-; poorer quality 13/8 to 14/9. Pigs: A full entry of store and weaner pigs were sold at the low rates ruling. Few baconers and heavy porkers met with a poor demand. We quote: Sows £2 15/-; heavy porkers £1 15/6 to £1 18/-; good stores £1 10/- to £1 13/ ; poorer do. £1 6/- to £1 10/-; slips 19/to £1 5/-; weaners 12/-. to 16/6. CLEARING SALE. MB PHIL CRAIG'S.
