“THE CRUCIFIXION”
PASSION MUSIC IN THE PARISH CHURCH. * . The beautiful Passion music written by the late Sir John Stainer, and sung; in churches throughout the world every Passion tide for the past thirty years and more, is to be rendered in the Parish Church of 8. Andrew on Tuesday in Holy Week, at 8 p.m. The choir has been considerably augmented in numbers of late, and has been rehearsing the work for many weeks past. The solo work is to be undertaken by Mr Tom Boyce, Mr J. Haworth, and" others. It is anticipated that the rendering of this devotional and inspiring work will be made in a manner calculated to uphold the best traditions of ,S. Andrew's for church music.
