COMING LOCAL FIXTURE. ADMISSION CHARGES REDUCED. A meeting of the Cambridge Trotting Club executive was held last evening when there were present, Messrs N. Banks (vice-president), chairman, r? J. W. Garland, A. H. Nicoll, C. Charlton, J. McMillan, W. McMillan, and the secretary (Mr W. Stopford). .

After discussion is was decided to reduce the admission charges to' the course for the annual fixture on Saturday, May 3, as follows: —Lawn enclosure, gentlemen 6/-, ladies 4/-. Outside 2/-.

In view of the reduced charges it y was also decided to materially limit the > number of complimentary tickets. This decision is in accordance with the action taken by nearly all other clubs. Arrangements were made for the calling of tenders for the publican's booth, refreshment booth and tobacco stall. s ' Improvements to Facilities.

The meeting also briefly discussed a comprehensive scheme of improvements to the facilities at the course. The proposed scheme provides for the removing back of the present buildings so as to provide additional accommodation for the viewing of the races. In this connection the proposal will provide for the accommodation, of 4000 more patrons. The moving back of the grandstand will allow for a series of concrete steps to be erected and will create a vast improvement on the present limited conditions.

The scheme of improvements will again engage the committee's attention at a special meeting to be held next month. With the scheme approved the work will be commenced immediately sifter the coming annual fixture.

The executive of the club have realised the need for the suggested improvements, and they are to be congratulated on their initiative. With' the improvement scheme a tangible fact the local course will lay claim to be-among the most up-to-date among country clubs in the Province. -
