A Gipsy Moth aeroplane was engaged by Dr M. M. Hockin, superintendent of the Waikato Hospital, Hamilton, to enable him to visit Te Kuiti and inspect the local hospital. Fifty-five minutes were spent in flying time tween Hamilton and Te Kuiti and back and the trip, including the time spent at the hospital, took only two hours. The doctor expressed himself as being delighted with the trip.
