GOODWOOD.
SCHOOL PICNIC. (Own Correspondent). The residents of Fencourt turned out in full force to attend the annual picnic of the Goodwood school, held at Mr D. Ellison's farm on Friday (yesterday). A large number of helpers were engaged in preparing lunch, and everyone did full justice to all, the good things provided. There were lolly and apple scrambles for the children, and afterwards races for all. At the conclusion of the sports programme, afternoon tea was served, after which the chairman called for hearty acclamation for Mr Ellison for the use of his -grounds. Owing to pressure on space this issue the list of prize-winners will be published next issue.
