WOMEN’S DIVISION
GARDEN PARTY. A DESERVING EFFORT. The Cambridge branch of the Women’s Division, of the N.Z. Farmers’ Union is holding a monster garden fete at the Leamington Domain on Saturday next, when arrangements have been made for a very special gathering. The function will be formally opened at 12 noon by Mr F. Lye, member for the district. There will be all sorts of amusements, and the band will be in attendance, so that all who attend may depend on a very pleasant time. This effort is being held for a most worthy object, viz., the assistance of the Division’s Bush Nurse find Housekeeper scheme, and also to help the local branch’s fund. We hope that residents of town and district alike will accord their hearty support to this gathering. Picture Benefit. The management of the local pictures ~,P ; has very generously offered to give , a matinee picture performance on the afternoon of the 28th inst., in aid of the branch’s funds.
