POLO.
MATCHES AT CAMBRIDGE. WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. A scrips of short games of polo has been arranged to be played on the local polo fields at ‘ ‘ Gwynnelands, ’ ’ on Wednesday and Thursday next; The provincial champion team, Waimai A, fresh from their, winning of scalps at Te Aroha, will meet the Cambridge A team on Wednesday. Although defeated at Te Aroha the local first team were unlucky. They played dashing polo, and if they display the same form, on Wednesday, a great game of polo should be witnessed. The runners-up in the provincial cup at Te Aroha, Matangi A, will play Te Awamutu, and here another sterling game should be witnessed. Details are advertised.
