Mr and Mrs H. D. Dallimore have been spending a month’s holiday' at Great Barrier Island, and will return to Cambridge to-day. They speak most highly of the Barrier as a holiday resort, and it is pleasing -to know that both have greatly benefited in health through the rest and change.
Miss Dorothy Neely, second daughter of Mr and Mrs R. J. Neely, of “ Brackenfield,” Pulcekura, has been successful in 'fj'assfeig her examination as dental nurse, with honours, being one of only three candidates who won this distinction. Miss Neely graduated at Victoria College, Wellington, last year, when she secured her B.A. degree. She has been training at tho Dental School at Wellington. Miss Neely’s many friends in this district will congratulate her on her success.
Mr Geo. Gutry, headmaster of the Koto-o-rangi school, has received notice of his transfer to a higher grade school, at Onewhero, near Tuakau. The transfer, is subject to confirmation at a meeting to be held next week, but it seems practically certain that the change will be made. Mr Redwood, of the Tc Aroha district, will succeed Mr Gutry at Roto-o-rangi. Mr Gutry has been in this district for several years. He has proved himself a most able and successful teacher, and his departure will bo greatly regretted. Mr and Mrs Gutry have also been prominent in church work and social activities, and their removal will bo a distinct loss to the district.
