PEACE CUP RULES. IMPORTANT AMENDMENTS, An important meeting of sub-union, delegates of the Waikato Union was held at the rooms, Hamilton, last evening, when Mr Harry Frosf,chairman of the Auckland Union, presided over a conference to consider the rules of the Peace Cup, the premier trophy for competition in South Auckland. All the sub-unions were represented, Messrs T. Cray (president) and V. G. Boulton (secretary) acting for the Cambridge Union. Mr R. English, the donor of the cup, was also present. The original rules were surveyed and a series of suggested amendments, as previously circularised among sub-un-ions, was tabled from the Thames Subunion, also an important suggestion from the Cambridge Union that in the event of the necessity of elimination games they be arranged by ballot.

The various rules were well discussed and several excellent amendments were made and important additions wesc decided upon that have the effect of making the Peace Cup rules much more 'efficient, and obviating the possibilities of .dissatisfaction among tbe interested sub-uniofis.

It is satisfactory to note that thd suggestion of the Cambridge Union that all elimination games be arranged by ballot; also that only one challenge can be made in the season were adopted. \ The amended rules will appear in Tuesday’s issue.
