LIVE STOCK MARKET. HAMILTON SALES. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report on their usual weekly stock sale at Frankton saloyards on Tuesday as under: — There' was a small yarding of fat cattle. Prices of ox beef were on a par with last week, while fat cows met with spirited bidding, with a consequence of improved rates. There was a small yarding of fat and store sheep, which sold on a par with last week's rates. There was a heavy yarding of fat pigs, which sold at slightly improved rates. .Store pigs sold on a par with last week. Fat bullocks £l2 10/- to £l4;,prime fat cows up to £lO 9/-; vealers £2 to £2 1 /-; fat wethers £1 7/7 to £1 8/4; fat ewes 17/8. A line of 400 S.M. ewes made 17/6. A line of 100 S.M.- made 22/6. Line of 150 brought 22/9. Others 11/10 to 15/6. Prime heavy baconers £4 7/6 to £4 15/-; heavy baconers £4 to £4 5/-; lighter £3 10/- to £3 17/6; heavy porkers £3 to £3 12/6; lighter £2 14/- to £3 2/6; best stores £2 to £2 5/-; medium stores 31/- to £2; slips 20/- to 27/6; weaners 11/6 to 17/6.

A good yarding of steers and cow beef. Late rates were again fully maintained. A heavy yarding of all classes of sheep, consisting mainly of lambs and breeding ewes, which met with keen competition and realised increased prices. Quotations: Heavy fat steers £l4 11/- to £ls 5/-; medium fat steers £l3 6/- to £l4 7/-; light fat steers £ll 9/- to £l3 3/-; fat cows £8 7/6 to £9; medium fat cows £7 5/- to £8 4/-; light fat cows £6 12/6 to £7; for ; ward conditioned cows £5 15/- to £6 5/-; store cows £3 to £4 15/-; fat wethers 27/- to 27/6; store wethers 21/10 to 24/10; prime heavy fat lambs 28/- to 30/-; fat lambs 19/-; best M.S. woolly lambs 15/4; M.S. woolly lambs 13/- to 14/6; S.D. ewe lambs 17/-; S.D. stud ewes, mixed ages, 2gns; S.D. ram lambs £3 15/-; S.D. stud rams 10gns; 2-tooth breeding ewes 28/6 to 30/-; 4 and 5 yr breeding ewes 22/- to 23/3; aged ewes 12/9 to 14/9. There was a good yarding of all classes of pigs and late rates were maintained throughout. Heavy porkers £3 5/- to £3 12/-; light porkers £2 13/- to £2 19/-; stores.£2 5/- to £2 S/-; slips £1 10/- to £2; weaners 17/to £1 6/-. Baconers averaged 74d per lb and porkers 7}d to Sd.
