FAREWELL TO MR VEALE
TO-MORROW’S FUNCTION. A PUBLIC GATHERING. A presentation will bo made to Mr E. Veale at the Town Hall, Cambridge, to-morrow (Friday), at 3 p.m., when his friends are invited to be present'. The ladies arc asked to assist with arrangements for afternoon tea. Mr Yeale has been for some thirty years a really live member of the community, ever ready to advance the interests of the town and district, and it is fitting that- he should be given a public farewell on the occasion of his departure to take up residence at Tauranga.
Those.who have subscription lists for the presentation are asked to hand same to the hon. treasurer (Mr Alf. Ganc) not later than noon to-morrow (Friday).
