WELCOME TO AIRMAN
CHICHESTER AT WIGRAM. AERO CLUB’S DISPLAY. By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Sunday. A crowd of/15,000 people welcomed Air F. C. Chichester when lie arrived at the Wigram aerodrome yesterday afternoon, having down from Wellington to the Canterbury Aero Club aerial display, which was held to keep faith with the public owing to the recent pageant having been spoiled by misty weather. Air Chichester was met by three Aero Club machines and escorted to the aerodrome. After landing he was driven round in an open car and received the plaudits of the crowd. He was officially welcomed and congratulated by Air J. Leslie, chairman of the Paparun County Council, and by Air J. K. Archer, Alayor of Christchurch.
