ATTEMPT TO REGAIN THRONE; IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENTS* Australian Press Assn —United Servie«/ DELHI, Feb./ 26, A report that the ex-King Amanullah has reached Angora en route to Afghanistan, has caused the greatest excitement at Kabul. It is likely jim> portant developments may arise. Amanullah must regard the Ultra-liberal Europcanising Turkish Government of Phazi Pasha as naturally in Islam and may ask its goodwill if not its active 1 assistance in an attempt to regain the throne. Presumably such an attempt will be made from the North through me Soviet territory.

Much depends on the attitude of th<3 Soviet,' which always seemed to regard Amanullah as a revolutionary"; but ott the other hand it is not keen on kings and will probably not commit itsolf to support Amanullah unless it is confident he will win through. : .
