i. The house, situated about six miles from 'Cambridge/, was a 10-roomed wooden structure. At the time of. the. outbreak Mrs. McCann was attending to some some distance from the honsej and when she was last in the; dwelling there; was nothing to indicate; fire. It sterns fairly coriain that the out ; break originated in the roof, and haying obtained a- good hold, the dwelling burnt like matchwood. i .

Although jthere are insurances, Mr. and Mrs. MeCann will be heavy losers*.
