WEDDING BELLS
HAIR—WRATTEN. The marriage was solemnised at the Armstrong Avenue Anglican Church, Whangarci, on September 29th, of Miss J. G. Wratten, daughter of Mr G. Wratten, Hamilton Road, to Mr Bruce McKenzie, son of Mr J. Hair, Cambridge. The Rev. J. Rich officiated. The bride, who was given away by '•[ her father, wore a becoming blue ensemble suit, with fawn hat, and carried a Jaouquct of white Iceland poppies and stock. The bridesmaid, Miss Rita Wratten, sister of the bride, was charmingly frocked in bois de rose crepe de chine, trimmed with ecru lace, and carried a bouquet of sweet peas. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr "j. Moyle. The bride's mother wore floral crepe de chine and navy repp coat. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Marble Bar. Later Mr and Mrs Hair left by the south-bound express en.route for Sydney, where they will make their home. Mrs Hair was, until her marriage, on the exchange staff of the Whangarei post office, and on the eve of. her marriages was presented by Mr G. H. Marrisb (postmaster), on behalf of the P. and T. staff, with a beautiful mounted .and engraved solid leather suit-case, and a wedge wood honey jar suitably inscribed. In making the presentation Mr Morrish referred to the many excellent qualities of the recipient and expressed the general regret at her de-. parture, through which the department was-losing a highly valued servant.
