Operating a two-valve home-mad® set, Mr George Anchor, of Hamilton, a well-known wireless enthusiast, early this morning picked up the Dutch station P.C.J.J., situated at the Phillips Lamp Works, Eindoven. The station was first located at 3.8 a.m. when two orchestral selections were in progress. These were followed by an announcement .of the name of the station followed bv a statement in Dutch. W; For 40 minutes Mr Anchor listened to a programme of orchestral, piano and violin solos, the station closing down at 3.53. a.m. The last item, a violin solo, was audible a few feet away fromthe loud speaker.
