DENTAL CLINIC

START MADE AT CAMBRIDGE. TENDERS CALLED FOR NEW BUILDING. The Cambridge dental clinic is now" an established fact. Nurse Z. M. Hunter arrived in the town a few days ago, and has commenced active operations in temporary quarters, at the Presbyterian Hall, which will be used until the new clinic building is erected. At Tuesday night’s meeting of the' Cambridge District High School Committee a letter -was read from the Auckland Education Board stating that tenders had been called for the erection of a dental clinic at Cambridge, while the Director of Dental Hygiene notified the committee that Nurse Hunter, an extremely capable officer, had been appointed to take charge of the clinic. The committee discussed briefly financial matters. •It was reported that nearly all the donations promised had. been collected. A sum of £BO had beext forwarded to the Education Board.

The chairman (Mr A. N. Macky) said he was rather doubtful as to whether the funds available would be sufficient for the erection and equipment of the class of building specified, but it was no use meeting trouble half-way. They had done all that was required of them for the time being. The clinic was now in operation, and he felt sure that excellent work would bo accomplished.
