SUB-ASSOCIATION .TOURNAMENT THE FINALS. The principal feature of local tennis on Saturday last was the playing-off of the semi-finals and finals in connection with the second annual Easter tournament. There was* a fair attendance of members apart from the contestants and keen interest was displayed in thevarious matches. . Results arc as follows: —- - Men’s Singles. Semi-Finals, —Morrison owe 40 beat A. G. Thomas owe 15 4/6, 6 —4. Robinson owe 15 beat J. Cox owe 40, 6—5, 6—l. Final.—W. Robinson owe 15 beat R. Morrison owe 40, 6 —o, 6 —l. Men’s Doubles.

Semi-Final.—Robinson and A. R. Cox owe 15 beat Armor and T. Keelcy scr, 6 —l, 5— 6, 6 —3. Final.- —Robinson and Cox owe 15 beat A. G. Thomas and Gibbons owe 15, 6—5, 6—2. Ladies’ Doubles. Semi-Final.—Misses J. Feisst and Jamieson owe 15 beat Mrs Kcoley and Miss Dunstan scr, 6 —5, 6 —4. Final.—Misses Feist and Jamieson owe 15 beat Mrs Garland and Miss Kay owe 15, 6—5, 6—4. * * Combined Doubles. Third Round. —I. Fisher and Miss Hamerton owe 3/6 beat Jamieson and Miss Jamieson owe 3/6, 9 — 6. Wilkinson and Mrs Ward scr beat Darrow and Miss Mitchell owe 15, 11—9. Semi-Finals.—Robinson and Miss J. Thompson owe 30 1/6 won by default from L. Haworth and Miss Nolan. Fisher and Miss Hamerton owe 3/6 beat Wilkinson and Mrs Ward scr, 6—4, 2—6, 6—3. , The Final.—The doubles final between Robinson and Miss J. Thompson owe 30 1/6 and Fisher and Miss Hamerton owe 15 was a splendidly contested match, the issue being in doubt practically to the end. The four contestants played very careful the game taking over two hours to complete. After losing the first set, 3—6, Robinson -4ml Miss Thompson retaliated in the two. remaining sets which they won by 6—5 and. 8 — 6, thus annexing, the honour of doubles champions for the 1926 annual tourney. Junior Girls’ Singles, i Final.—Miss G. Brittain rcc 2/6 beat Miss V. Rowland owe 2/6, 2—6, 6—3,# 6—4. ' - MAUN GAT AUT ARI CLUB. On Saturday last a ladies ’ v. men’s match was held on the Maungatautari courts, resulting in an easy win for the men. Next Saturday a match has been arranged between Roto-o-rangi and Maungatautari, .to be played on the Maungatautari courts. DAVIS CUP DATES. THE ZONE COMPETITIONS. TO START IN JULY. The completion of arrangements for the European zone competition for the Davis Cup tennis tournament calls for the finals to be played not later than July 27.
