SPORTING AND DRAMATIC.
The Auckland Racing Club’s Easter carnival holds pride of place in the pictorial section of this week’s issue of the New Zealand Sporting and Dramatic Review. The Franklin fixture is also represented in an excellent series of animated pictures. Keen ■ interest should be takcu in the portraits of the English test team possibles against Australia. The centre pages are devoted to outdoor sport in 1 its various forms. The miscellaneous illustrations cover an exceptionally wide and diverting range and include * the West India Turf Club’s racecourse at Bombay, motor racing in Sydney, launch-; ing of HALS. Suffolk, winter scenes in Hyde Park, the Duke and Duchess of York, the Countess Gathcart, Poverty Bay rep. cricket team, golf and tennis champions, Now York Charleston Marathon, Otaki Beach races, etc. The stage, motion picture, society ,and humour sections are attractively presented. Attention is directed to the new racing skill competition in connection .with the Thompson Handicap. The Review is on sale at all booksellers and stationers.
