OLD COLONISTS
A WAIKATO ASSOCIATION. ESTABLISHMENT OF MUSEUM. Mr C. .1. W. Barton, of Hamilton, one of the oldest residents of the town, is promoting a scheme to form a Waikato Old Colonists’ Association. He proposes to organise annual re-unions of old settlers from all parts of the district, and to endeavour to establish a Colonists’ Museum. As August 24 is tho 60th anniversary of the actual landing of the original Waikato Regiment in Hamilton, the first reunion will probably be held on that day.—Times.
